Persitent Storage Error Message When Converting To Quicken For Mac 2016

Anyone having an issue with Quicken 2017 closing and sending an error message when trying to open? I did some searching around and found that if I hold the CTRL key down while opening that bypasses it. I've used this method to open then open my file and it shuts down and gives me the error again.
The next try opened the same way then restored from a backup and it seemed fine I had it download my current transactions and boom crashes again. Yet again tried the same method and only had it download my CO360 account and that worked then did my WF account and it froze up and closed again. This is is starting to frustrate me to the point I feel sorry if they actually read the notations that go with the error report that it sends as I have spoken my mind a few times.
I recently built a new computer. Everything seems to be working great except for quicken.
I am running quicken 2016 and I can not get it to update. As a result I can not log in and use it. Quicken has what they call a mundo patch to manually update the software. Even after I download the patch I get a 'cannot communicate with server' error. I am using Windows defender and Windows firewall and have disabled both when attempting to update. I still get the same error. I have run the patch and the program as an administrator and run it in compatibility mode, nothing changes the error message.
